Paging Systems Can Work Well

By: Brett Franklin

I hate to admit it, but I yell more than I would like to. I don?t like it because I have always thought yelling is very unladylike. However, there are moments when there is just no way around it. If you have ever been cooking dinner with a child attached to one leg, and the phone glued to your ear, only to have someone knock on the door, you might now what I mean. You may have to yell for someone else in the house to get the door, or perhaps cart you away to the loony bin. When these moments happen, I dream of having some sort of paging systems in my home.

I really don?t need paging systems for those rare moments, but there are many out there who might just benefit. They are great for families that occupy three or four levels of a home, or have a detached garage or other out building where family members might be hanging out. Having paging systems in these cases can save you a lot of hollering and a bunch of frustration when you can?t seem to find or reach the person you may need right away.

Not only can paging systems be good in a larger home or estate, you may need them for your business as well. Once upon a time I worked for a construction company as a receptionist. There were cell phones then, but they were not as common as they are now. This company has two different paging systems. One was for those in the building, and one for those out in the field. These worked very well, and I can imagine, they saved a lot of money and time.

The best thing about paging systems is that you can get them as large or as small as you need them, and they generally will not have a monthly fee attached to them like cellular phones or other communication methods might. You can have them installed, or install them on your own, and then the rest is up to you. The only time you may need someone to come in for your paging systems is if you have a malfunction and need someone to fix your system. Think of them as an investment in saving time, and one that might even mean that your workers are safe because they can reach each other immediately. For the average office, that might not be a worry, but when it comes to construction, it could be a life saving investment.
