They want their commission, and they are under pressure from the seller to get it moving. The truth might not be known until the house is seen in person.

However, when looking at interior shots of houses in real estate listings, you have to be careful about what you are looking at when viewing those pictures. Many are taken to make the rooms within the house appear larger than they are. Try not to get too excited about any house until you have toured and viewed it in person. That is the only way to get a true feel for the size.

A home that is "in need of TLC" is probably a dump or in some state of disrepair.
