Besides which shoes to wear, women also obsess over the lingering question: "Does my boyfriend love me?" "or Is he the one?." Successful author, Wendy L. Walsh, has written a book, The Boyfriend Test, which will put every woman’s thoughts at bay. She has created a way for women to not have to waste their time on men that are not going to work out. For example, a woman introduces her boyfriend to her parents, and then 4 hours later he decides he is not ready for a serious relationship. Or my personal favorite, you stop answering your phone to avoid the guy who you thought was a super catch, but ended up being a super dud. Wendy’s book prevents the two previous scenarios from happening.
Wendy has not written this book out of inexperience. She herself, has experienced many relationships that have gone down the drain. Her advice: evaluate yourself above everything else. It is hard to know what you want in a man, if you do not know what you really want. She says to also evaluate the "boyfriend candidates".
The Boyfriend Test is organized into three sections:
1. Evaluate his behavior on the first date (for example: is he too good to be true, was he over doing it for your presence, was he easy going...)
2. Compare the first evaluations to his actions by the fifth date. If they are consistent then he might possibly be a catch.
3. The last part of the book is a "Couple’s Report Card". It is packed full of great tips on how to maintain a wonderful and healthy relationship.
The book is said to be a must-read for any woman who is embarking on a new relationship or just needs some advice with a recent relationship. The Boyfriend Test is like having the advice from a big sister...without the guilt trips. Included in the book is a quiz that the reader can take that evaluates the man intended’s phone skills. Supposedly, how a man acts in a phone conversation, proves a lot of details about his personality. Several thought provoking questions on the quiz include: "How long did it take him to call?", "What time did he call?", "Did he want to see you that night?", and "Did he have a plan?". Based on the answers, you should be able to tell if the man is a catch ahead of time, instead of having to wait it out.
