Independent Obituaries Are Common

Obituaries have become a common measure to be taken whenever someone dies and people want to announce the dates and place of the funeral or for the simple reason of presenting their condolences. So obituaries are not a standard text but that does not mean that they don’t not follow certain guidelines for creating them. These patterns that most obituaries are based on depend on the area and especially on the customs that a certain area has in the respect of publishing such compositions.

However, it is not compulsory to follow the patterns that are used in your area for obituaries and for this reason we may notice that many people are using their own composition skills in order to create unique and regretful texts for obituaries. We may consider these types as independent obituaries.

When we speak of independent obituaries in general, we refer to the ones created originally, without using the common rules of structure and of content that most people in a certain area usually follow. However, even if some people prefer to compose these by their own guidelines we may consider that these texts actually contain the slightest trace of tradition of a certain geographical zone.

There is indeed a notable difference between general independent obituaries between countries and especially between continents. It is common knowledge that each continent contains some general elements and fields of culture and for this reason we may consider the important difference between the traces of each culture. If we take as an example the European obituaries and compare them to the American ones or to the Australian obituaries we will notice a different style and also some different elements regarding the content created. For this reason we need to know a bit about the actual culture of the population from a certain area in order to understand the style and the pathos contained by a certain obituary text.

In the time they appeared, these funeral texts used to follow some specific guidelines that people used in order to express their sorrow, grief or condolences caused by the death of a person. However, as time passed people started becoming more creative in all the domains and also in the domain of composing obituaries. This is a very important fact to take into cinsiderati9on in order to be able to explain the notable differences in the style and in the content of these funeral texts.
