A Java Code May Interest You

By: Baily Richards

The Java Code or Java Codes are programming source codes that are used to run any Java programming system. It can be an interactive, a command-line debugging and a source-level tool. It can also be used to run a Java program in controlled manners and to inspect the states of any stopped program. The Java Code also gives a complete control on the dynamic execution of any Java programs.

You may also use a DBX program with Java Code in debugging program codes written in FORTRAN, C++ and C. However, there are some limitations in debugging program codes of some certain applications that are mixtures of Java Codes and the C JNI code as well as other codes that were developed with the NCT or the Native Connector Tool. There are also some capabilities of the DBX program with the Java Code. These capabilities may include debugging of different types of Java applications. Among these types of Java applications may include the file name that ends with .class extension, the file name that ends with .jar extension, the Java application that had been started with the used of a wrapper, any running Java applications that was initialized in debug modes in which you have attached the DBX program, and any C or C++ applications that are embedded with Java applications using interfaces. Furthermore, most of the DBX program commands normally operate on the similarly traditional codes and Java Codes.

Aside from the capabilities of DBX program with the Java Code, there are also some limitations that concern on the debugging of Java Codes. Among these limitations are that DBX programs are not capable of telling you the state of a certain Java application from the source file as compared to any traditional programming codes, DBX programs are not capable of telling you the state of a certain Java application if the application is hung due to some reason, and DBX programs are not able in making procedure calls. With these limitations, you need to fix the performance data collection as well as the run time checking of DBX program features that do not apply to any of the Java applications or Java Codes.

There are also certain DBX modes when debugging Java Code. These modes include the Native or Traditional Mode, the JNI Mode and the Java Mode. The native or Traditional mode refers to the current mode that is currently stored in the environment variable of the JDBX mode. However, when the DBX program is in Java mode, you can be able to inspect the state of the Java application as well as the JNI codes and the code’s control execution. The Java Mode is being used for debugging pure Java Codes or any Java applications that are mixtures of Java Codes, C++ JNI Code or C JNI Codes. Apparently on the JNI Mode, the DBX commands uses in here are native syntax and native codes wherein the output of commands shows any Java-related status and native status as well.
