The update panel has two basic functions that consist of manual update and automatic update. However, for the function of automatic update, it is only available on Windows 2000, 2003, XP, and SP2 or even higher. This update is automatically set as default for the operating systems mentioned above. Additionally, the automatic update is performed on a basis that is scheduled and selected. With automatic update function you are allowed to select your desired frequencies for updates. It can be monthly, weekly or daily. However, for you daily updates you can choose the time of the day for you updates. The function of manual update is being performed by pressing the button of "Update Now".
