The Seattle Times Obituaries have been covering the death of local people in Seattle who have contributed a lot as a citizen of the city. Jill Bennett and John W. Hood Jr. are among the people who passed away where their obituaries were covered by the Seattle Times.

Jill Bennett is a breast cancer patient who lived in Seattle and had undergone various treatments for her disease. She also participated in a study resulted to a vaccine that is now being used by most breast cancer patients all over the world because of the event that the vaccine had helped 100 cancer patient women on the treatment. With this, Jill Bennett established the Northwest Cancer Partners, which is a local non-profit organization that has the objective of helping cancer patients on speeding up their clinical trial-based medications based on the latest research of treatments. Jill Bennett had hoped until the end that she’ll soon find the cure for her disease. She died as the leading cancer research advocate in the state of Seattle on July 14 of 2004 when she was 48. Jill Bennett is a remarkable woman who is full life, dedicated and gifted and Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft also agreed on this. He believed on the bravery of Jill Bennett as a woman on fighting for cancer as well as finding strength in bringing the attention of the breast cancer issue to other people that made her an inspiration in looking for the cure. Seattle Times Obituaries have featured the obituary of Jill Bennett along with her life story and contributions. In her obituary, it was mentioned that she was a graduate of the Washington State University in 1978 where she spent most of her career at a high-tech industry. In 1983, Bennett also works as computer sales representative where she met Bill Gates whom she dated with for a couple of years but still remained friends after.

The obituary of John W. Hood, Jr. was also featured in the Seattle Times Obituaries. Wood was a crossing guard in a neighborhood at Northwest Seattle.

He was famous among the kids and parents in the neighborhood but unfortunately he died on May 7 of 2006. He is also popular among the children walking to the West Woodland Elementary School as well as to people who are passing by as Wood waved his hands to every person he sees. With these, Wood had earned friends even though he didn’t know the names.
