Wrinkles Around The Eyes Can Be Gotten Rid Of

By: Keil Newman

Wrinkles are a sign of aging, and unfortunately, they are something that cannot really be completely prevented. There are creams that claim to prevent the wrinkles process, but in reality, all they do is delay the process. Wrinkles around eyes are a common sign of aging. But what causes them?

Generally, these wrinkles around eyes occur with darkening of the area around the eye. They are normally a sign of age, but can occur for many other factors. Lack of sleep is one thing that can cause them. We all know that we are meant to get at least eight hours of sleep per night to maintain the optimum health, but in our busy lifestyles, this is not always possible. "Bags" under the eyes and wrinkles are a common sign of this, but can thankfully be hidden with make up. Wrinkles around eyes can also be a aign of poor nutrition, however, and if you are worried about them, espeically if you are of a young age and get the recommended sleep levels, then you should consult a medical opinion, as it could be that you are lacking vital vitamins and minerals in your diet.

If you are particulary stressed, and this can very often accompany poor sleep patterns, then you are more likely to get wrinkles around the eye area. With the hectic societies that we now live in, many of us are trying to juggle home lives with busy working lives, and being able to stay calm and still maintain eight hours of sleep per night can be an impossible task. When we are stresses, we can sometimes resort to food and comfort eating as a way of calming ourselves down, for example, chocolate. These carbohydrates have been rumored to increase the likelihood of somebody getting wrinkles at a young age.

For some of us, we are unfortunate enough to get wrinkles around eyes because it is in our genes. If our parents have these fine lines around the eyes, then we are more likely to get them ourselves. If this is the case, then you need to start looking at preventing them from an early age, and thankfully, there are a few ways in which you can try to delay the process. Try to put make up and other cosmetics on around the eyes in a delicate manner, tugging and pulling at your skin surrounding the eyes, especially when putting on concealers or foundations, can damage the skin. The aging process means that the skin cannot repair itself as quickly, so this motion can have a rather damaging effect on your skin.

Why do wrinkles around eyes happen so much? Well, the skin surrounding the eyes is very delicate and much thinner than around the rest of your body. When you get older, this skin gets thinner and more weak. The more you protect your eyes and the area around them, the better the chances of you putting off those annoying lines for a little while longer. For some of us, however, they are something that will happen whether we try and fight it or not.
