The first step in starting a house cleaning business is to create your business plan and business policy. Find out a good and catchy name for your business, which stands out from your competitors. The next step is to apply for an insurance policy for you house cleaning business. Many people think that this is not so important, but insuring your business eases the minds of your prospective clients and helps you to work freely with peace of mind.

The next step is to apply for a copy of your police record and background check. Hopefully, you won't have one. But you need to apply for it so as to get an official copy stating "No Record". You will find the application form at the Police Station, State Trooper Barracks, or the City Hall, depending up on which State you are residing. Just fill it and mail to the respective office, within two weeks you will receive your form back with official sealing.
