Proud Bald Men

By: Jen Carter

Bald men have become increasingly popular in the mainstream media. The stars are bright AND bald! It’s true. Celebrities increasingly remind the common man that hair loss is not taboo.

Below, you will find an extensive list of famous men who experienced baldness at an early age.

Bruce Willis
His hair started thinning on national television in 1985 on the series “Moonlighting,” but at the age of thirty, Bruce didn’t let male hair loss hold him back. He married the beautiful actress two years later in 1987, and continued his acting career with hits like “Die Hard,” and “Armageddon.” Just before the turn of the century, Bruce started shaving his head for the smooth and professional look.

Vin Diesel
This star actor of the “Fast and the furious” didn’t become furious when he started losing his hair. He went for the smooth look and landed role after role. Hello Hollywood, say hello to a confident young male actor. Have we ever seen Vin Diesel with hair? The thirty eight year old still looks like he’s in his twenties.

Ron Howard
Although ‘Opie’ may not be the sexiest man in Hollywood, he’s most certainly one of the most powerful and creative. Ron Howard’s hair loss didn’t stop him from achieving his dreams.

Patrick Stewart
By the age of nineteen Patrick Stewart was completely bald due to inherited Alopecia. Despite this condition, Patrick continued with his dreams of success. In reference to his success on Star Trek, his daughter once joked, “he baldly went where no man has gone before.”

Andre Agassi
The famous tennis player once sported long hair and an earring to all of his games. Suddenly in 1997, at the age of twenty seven years of age, Agassi started going bald. The man quoted for his advertisement slogan “Image is everything,” had to keep his image ‘real.’ In 1998, a new Agassi emerged with a smooth bald head. Women thought he looked sexier than ever.

To sum it all up, we offer a comedic quote by an unknown author:

“Men who go bald in front are thinkers.
Men who go bald in back are lovers.
Men who go bald all aver think they are lovers.” –Unknown
